Thursday 5th March to Sunday 8th March 2020 - What an exciting week - if we do say so ourselves. The buzz from designers, creatives, sponsors and VIP patrons truly exceeded our expectations with positive feedback and businesses already signing up for the September shows on the Gold Coast.
Vogue featured designer Jacqueline Anne Atelier, was the first fashion house on display on Friday 6th March with her couture creations. Hand crafted, creating timeless silhouettes in elegant designs for special occasions, the feminine and sophisticated dressing befits ladies of all ages. Jacqueline Anne is all about creating contemporary fashion with a feminine edge. A brand that identifies as personal luxury to highlight the ever growing inclusive market for ladies of a discerning age to wear these flattering designs. Bold colours with hand stitched embroidery adorned the finest silks sourced from around the world, Jacqueline insists on adopting environmentally friendly practices. Getty Images posted the successful New Zealand Fashion Week designer in 2019's show that led to Jacqueline Anne being flown to Melbourne's illustrious Bird Cage on Cup Day as a serious player with Myer's Fashions on the Field.
Gold Coast's own fashionista's sat front row, including the Editor of LABEL magazine Kate Bennett. Influencers were present as well as Miss World Australia. Models wearing the designs are becoming celebrities in their own right - Brittaney Johnson from the 2014 reality TV series The Face was a main drawcard for the designers. Brittaney was mentored by Supermodel Naomi Campbell who showed us all exactly why she was cast in this 8 episode program. Other models to grace the catwalk were Creative Director of the GCFP and internationally published model Angelina Chanel (in NYC fashion magazine PROMO), international singing sensation Tylah Wineyard and Ukrainian model Polina Ziuzina who recently booked Milan Fashion Week.
Jacqueline Anne recently teamed up with iconic editorial fashion photographer Elsa Dillon, to bring her beautiful masterpieces to the elegant pages of high end magazines such as Vogue. Elsa is regularly featured in fashion editorials for Marie Claire, Elle, Vogue and edgy publications such as BLouder, Ellements (NYC), Promo (NYC) and fashion mags from around the world. We are excited to be part of the creative process for future publications.
Makeup for the event was sponsored by the Gold Coast Beauty College who took to peacock blue colours for eyes in dramatic fashion, with nude lips and cheeks to keep the drama focussed. The favoured hairstyle was a low ponytail to keep sleek lines and all eyes on the fashions.
